Project Scope Summary

Overview

Scope Type: Turnkey EPCC – Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning

Design, supply, construction, and commissioning of trunkline systems and associated facilities for transporting crude oil from OGMs to the Central Processing Facility (CPF), including all civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, telecom, and cathodic protection works.

Scope

Key Work Components

Pipeline Construction

  • 55 km of 10" to 18" API 5L trunklines (12+20+23 km) with 3LPE & FBE coatings.
  • Trenching, stringing, welding, NDT (X-ray & UT), hydrotesting, nitrogen purging.
  • HDD crossings for critical routes (2.7 km total).
  • Installation of 3 valve stations and multiple tie-ins to OGMs and CPF.
  • Internal coating for field joints using automated coating machines (robots).

Civil Works

  • Foundations, pipe supports, access roads, valve pits, grading & excavation.

Cathodic Protection

  • ICCP & SACP systems with test posts, anodes, rectifiers, surge diverters.

Fiber Optic Cable (FOC)

  • 25 km of 24-core armored cable for SCADA and communication.

Mechanical, Instrumentation & Electrical

  • Over 40 valves (2"–18"), pigging systems, pressure/temperature transmitters.
  • Corrosion monitoring: coupons & probes.
  • Painting & internal FBE coating with robotic systems.

Interface Works

  • Tie-ins to 4 OGMs and CPF, including pressure-rated valves and integration into live systems.

Standards

Special Requirements

  • Design Standards: ASME B31.4, NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 for sour service.
  • Climate Adaptation: Works in extreme summer conditions (up to 50°C) and dust storms.
  • HSE & QA/QC: ISO 9001/14001/45001 standards; full compliance with Company safety policies.
  • International Third-Party Inspection: SGS, BV, RINA, ATG involvement in FAT/SAT.
  • Local Compliance: All materials certified by Iraqi Embassy and MOO Tech Directorate standards.

Supply Chain

Procurement Activities

  • Full-scope procurement of all materials and equipment not free-issued by the Client.
  • Purchase Orders signed with international manufacturers for valves (Class 300, sour service, API 6D), corrosion monitoring equipment, field joint coating systems (FBE internal, 3LPE external), fiber optic cables and cathodic protection systems.
  • Expediting, QA/QC inspections, logistics, customs clearance and site delivery.
